History

The Sandyhurst subdivision began development in 1940 when Amtron Corporation filed “Restrictions” with Racine County along with a Platt of Survey for the 54 lots. Two of those 54 lots were designated as common to owners in the subdivision and remained as Amatron’s until 1982 when Quit Claimed to the Sandyhust Point property owners.

Sandyhurst Point Association Articles of Incorporation were filed on December 15, 1982. Article 3 states:

“The purpose shall be to own and administer a private park for the benefit of the residents living in Sandyhurst Point …”

Of the 52 eligible owners, 30 opted to become Association Members by executing a Quit Claim Deed. In exchange for an interest in partial ownership of the private park, they agreed to become members of the Association and abide by Association By-laws and rules.
